Material y métodos: El presente trabajo de investigación es de tipo observacional, transversal y analítico. La muestra fue de 312 madres, quienes acudieron con sus niños al centro de salud de Bernal durante el año 2022 al servicio de consultorio externo de medicina. Se aplicó una encuesta que evaluó la actitud materna y mediante el carnet de atención integral de salud del niño (a) menor de cinco años se evaluó si mantenían el esquema de vacunación completo. Los resultados fueron analizados en SPSS Versión 26. Resultados: En cuanto a la actitud materna frente a la vacunación de sus niños, fueron 312 madres entrevistadas de las cuales el 52.6% de las madres mostró una actitud positiva, el 39.4% fue media positiva y el 8.0% fue negativa. Así mismo, el 55,1% de niños tenía la secuencia de inmunizaciones completas para la edad y el 44.9% las tenía incompletas. El lugar de procedencia que prevaleció en los tres grupos de actitud materna fue la zona rural al 100%. Conclusiones: Existe una importante asociación estadística entre la actitud materna positiva hacia inmunización y el cumplimiento del calendario de inmunizaciones (p<0.01).

Material and methods: The present research work is observational, cross-sectional and analytical. The sample consisted of 312 mothers who attended the Bernal Health Center with their children during the year 2022 to the outpatient medical service. A questionnaire was applied to assess maternal attitudes and by means of the comprehensive health care card of the children under five years of age, it was evaluated whether they maintained the complete vaccination schedule. The results were analyzed in SPSS Version 26. Results: Regarding maternal attitude towards vaccination of their children, there were 312 mothers interviewed of which 52.6% of the mothers showed a positive attitude, 39.4% were average positive attitude and 8.0% were a negative attitude. Furthermore, 55.1% of children had a complete sequence of immunizations for their age and 44.9% had incomplete immunizations. The place of origin that prevailed in the three maternal attitude groups was rural area at 100%.
