Se trató de un estudio descriptivo correlacional, con enfoque cuantitativo de corte transversal y diseño no experimental; la muestra estuvo conformada por 135 estudiantes de 5to secundaria del colegio I.E Emblemática San Martín de Sechura. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó un cuestionario generado por los propios autores considerando las dimensiones e indicadores de las variables “plataformas digitales” y “habilidades comunicativas”; el instrumentó constó de 17 enunciados de tipo Likert, el mismo que fue sometido a un análisis de confiabilidad con el estadístico Alfa de Cronbach obteniendo un valor de 0.979. Se encontró una correlación positiva y significativa entre el uso de plataformas digitales y el desarrollo de habilidades comunicativas, con un coeficiente de Spearman de 0.633 y un valor de significancia de 0.000, lo que indica una relación moderadamente fuerte. Además, la prueba de Kolmogorov- Smirnov mostró valores de significancia inferiores a 0.05 en ambas variables, por lo que se rechazó la hipótesis de normalidad.

This was a descriptive-correlational study with a quantitative, cross-sectional, and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 135 5th-year students from the emblematic school I.E. Emblemática San Martín de Sechura. For data collection, a questionnaire developed by the authors was used, based on the dimensions and indicators of the variables ""digital platforms"" and ""communication skills."" The instrument consisted of 17 Likert-type items and was subjected to a reliability analysis using Cronbach’s Alpha, obtaining a value of 0.979. A positive and significant correlation was found between the use of digital platforms and the development of communication skills, with a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.633 and a significance value of 0.000, indicating a moderately strong relationship.
