description El presente trabajo, tiene como cimiento, la problemática que existe respecto a la ausencia de límites entre la libertad de tránsito y seguridad ciudadana, cuando se trata de mecanismos para la defensa de los bienes jurídicos necesarios para que el ser humano se desarrolle de manera correcta en la sociedad; ya que en la actualidad se ha elevado el índice de delincuencia en todo nuestro País, por tal motivo, podemos notar que se ha proliferado las rejas, tranqueras en muchas zonas de la ciudad y del País. En el desarrollo de esta investigación tuvo como objetivos determinar de qué manera la instalación de tranqueras en vía pública como medio de seguridad ciudadana afectan al derecho al libre tránsito, además se analizarán los alcances y límites a nivel constitucional del derecho fundamental al libre tránsito. Asimismo, explicaremos de manera clara la competencia de seguridad ciudadana de los gobiernos locales, y si estas contravienen al derecho constitucional de la libertad de tránsito; de esta manera se ha desarrollado aspectos deficientes para su regulación, en cuanto al tema de Libertad de tránsito y seguridad ciudadana. Siendo este un trabajo de tipo jurídico descriptivo y cuyas técnicas se recopilaron de documentos, páginas web, libros, etc.
