description En el presente trabajo se presenta se tuvo como objetivo identificar el sistema de Supervisión y Control que mejor se adecue para un Centro Operacional de distribución de Gas Natural en la región ICA; con la finalidad de poder desarrollar un sistema adecuado dado que en el Perú este tipos de sistemas para la distribución de gas natural no se tienen implementados. Mediante el estudio de los diferentes sistemas de control y supervisión, se pudo elaborar un cuadro comparativo en el cual podemos ver claramente las ventajas y desventajas de los diferentes sistemas, de esta manera se pudo elegir el mejor sistema que se adecuado de acuerdo a los requerimientos del proceso de distribución de gas natural. La elección del sistema de supervisión fue el de un Sistema SCADA (Supervisión, Control y Adquisición de Datos). Se propuso el diseño del sistema SCADA cumpliendo las normas internacionales, estándares y recomendaciones que debe cumplir debido a la criticidad del proceso, en este se especifica el diseño del HMI, lógica de control, las comunicaciones y seguridad en el SCADA. Finalmente se elaboró una cotización para la implementación del sistema SCADA para la distribución de gas natural
