Se obtuvieron como resultados que el 52% de adultos mayores presentó apoyo social de la enfermera y un estado emocional medio, mientras que el 34% presentó apoyo social medio y estado emocional elevado y solo el 2% presentó apoyo social mínimo y estado emocional bajo. Por lo tanto, se concluyó la aceptación de la hipótesis; mediante la prueba estadística del chi cuadrado, se demostró que si existe una relación significativa entre ambas variables cuyo valor de p=0,001.

Its objective was to determine the influence of the social support provided by the nurse on the emotional state of the elderly at the Vista Alegre District Hospital, 2024. The sample consisted of 50 elderly individuals, who in turn met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that 52% of older adults received social support from the nurse and had a medium emotional state, while 34% received medium social support and had a high emotional state, and only 2% received minimal social support and had a low emotional state.
