RESULTADOS: Al aplicar el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, se obtuvo un nivel de significancia de p = 0,296 siendo mayor a 0.05.. En cuanto a la edad, se encontró que no estaba relacionada al biotipo facial y overbite (p > 0.05). Asimismo, el sexo tampoco estaba relacionada al biotipo facial y overbite (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIÓN: No existe relación entre el biotipo facial y el overbite en sujetos con dentición permanente

Measurements of facial biotype and overbite were obtained according to Ricketts analysis. Sperman's Rho statistical test was used; compliance with the assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variances was previously verified. A significance level of 5% was considered. RESULTS: By applying Spearman's correlation coefficient, a significance level of p = 0.296 was obtained, being greater than 0.05. As for age, it was found that it was not related to facial biotype and overbite (p > 0.05). Likewise, sex was not related to facial biotype and overbite (p > 0.05).
