Resultados: La distribución de los pacientes ,respecto de la Injuria Renal Aguda (IRA), aquellos que la presentaron tuvieron una edad de 52.75 años con una desviación estándar de 8.65; el 62.5% (n=15) era de sexo masculino; el 83.33% (n=20) tomaba medicamentos previos; respecto al tiempo de enfermedad la media fue de 47.63 horas con una desviación estándar de 27.12; el recuento de leucocitos fue de 18 505.54 con desviación estándar de 7442.95; 45.83% (n=11) tuvo un recuento de glóbulos blancos mayor a 180 000; la creatinina era de 1.48 con desviación estándar de 0.19. De los que tuvieron perforación apendicular, el 41.56% (n=10) tuvieron Injuria Renal Aguda. Conclusiones: La perforación apendicular y el RGB >180 000 son factores de riesgo de injuria renal aguda. |

Materials and Methods: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted; evaluating a total of 149 patients with acute appendicitis seen in the trauma and general surgery service of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo during the period January 2017 to December 2018. Results: The distribution of patients with respect to Acute Renal Injury (ARI), those who presented it were 52.75 years old with a standard deviation of 8.65; 62.5% (n = 15) was male; 83.33% (n = 20) took previous medications; regarding the time of illness, the mean was 47.63 hours with a standard deviation of 27.12; the leukocyte count was 18 505.54 with standard deviation of 7442.95; 45.83% (n = 11) had a white blood cell count greater than 180,000; creatinine was 1.48 with standard deviation of 0.19. Of those who had appendiceal perforation, 41.56% (n = 10) had Acute Renal Injury.
