Durante los meses de junio a noviembre del 2016, se realizó el proyecto denominado “Determinación de parámetros físico-químicos y biológicos del agua del río Tío Yacu, para uso recreacional y riego de vegetales, del distrito de Elías Soplín Vargas – Rioja, 2015”. Los objetivos específicos fueron, evaluar la calidad del agua del rio Tío Yacu en los usos, recreacional y riego de vegetales, mediante la determinación de los parámetros de temperatura, pH, turbiedad, solidos totales disueltos, oxígeno disuelto, nitratos, fosfatos, DBO5 y coliformes fecales. Y comparar los resultados de los análisis físico-químicos y biológicos obtenidos, con los parámetros establecidos en los estándares de calidad ambiental. El enunciado del problema ¿los parámetros físico-químicos y biológicos en los usos, recreacional y riego de vegetales del rio Tío Yacu, son diferentes comparados con los estándares de calidad ambiental? La hipótesis a demostrar es los parámetros físico-químicos y biológicos de agua del rio Tío Yacu para uso recreacional y riego de vegetales, no están acorde a los estándares de calidad ambiental. Los resultados de la investigación de las muestras: (M1, M2, M3) obtenidos en promedio fueron: oxígeno disuelto (8.94 mg/L), pH (7.39 pH), demanda bioquímica de oxigeno (0.59 mg/L), nitratos (0.76 mg/L), fosfatos (0.28 mg/L), temperatura (18°c), turbiedad (4.32 UTN) y solidos totales disueltos (204.24 ppm) y coliformes fecales (44.56NMP/100mL). En conclusión a la investigación demostramos que el agua del rio Tío Yacu, según el índice de calidad de agua es 82.69, la cual es catalogada como agua de buena calidad y los parámetros analizados cumplen con los estándares de calidad ambiental para agua. During the months of June to November of 2016, was carried out the project called "Determination of physico-chemical and biological Yuracyacu river water, for your recreational use and irrigation of vegetables, in the Elias Soplin district - Rioja, 2015". The specific objectives were to evaluate the water quality of the Tio Yacu river in the uses, recreation and irrigation of vegetables, by determining the parameters of temperature, pH, turbidity, dissolved solids, dissolved oxygen, nitrates, phosphates, DBO5 and Fecal coliforms. And to compare the results of the analysis physical-chemical and biological obtained, with the parameters laid down in the environmental quality standards. The statement of the problem: The physico-chemical and biological agents in the uses, recreational and irrigation of vegetables of Tío Yacu river, are different compared with the environmental quality standards? The hypothesis to be demonstrated is the determination of the physical-chemical and biological parameters of the Tío Yacu river, for recreational use and irrigation of vegetables, indicating that they are not in accordance with the Environmental Quality Standards. The results of the investigation of samples: (M1, M2, M3) obtained on average were: dissolved oxygen (8.94 mg/L), pH (7.39 pH), biochemical demand of oxygen (0.59 mg/L), nitrates (0.76 mg/l), phosphates (0.28 mg/L), temperature (18° c), turbidity (4.32 UTN) and total dissolved solids (204.24 ppm) and fecal coliform (44. 56NMP / 100mL). In conclusion, with this research we show that the water of the Tio Yacu River, according to the Water Quality Index is 82.69 which is classified as good quality water and the analyzed parameters comply with the Environmental Quality Standards for water,
