Sumario:Objective: Determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in medical staff of the MINSA II-2 Tarapoto Hospital, from July to December 2016. Material and method: it was a descriptive, prospective study. The sample consisted of 54 doctors. The MBI-HSS was used for data collection. SPSS program version 21 was used to analyze the data. Frequency distribution tables were obtained according to the instrument classification scale (low, medium and high). Results: 54 surveys were completed (100% response rate). The level of Burnout Syndrome in the medium level was determined in 51.9% (n = 28) of professionals, low in 25.9% (n = 14) and high in 22.2% (n = 12). In the Emotional Exhaustion dimension, 48.2% (n = 26) had a medium level, 44.4% (n = 24) high and 7.4% (n = 4) low; the Depersonalization dimension 40.7% (n = 22) had a medium level, 38.9% (n = 21) low and 20.4% (n = 11) high and in the Personal Realization dimension 42.6% had a medium level, 40.7% (n = 22) low and 16.7% (n = 9) high. Conclusions: In the MINSA II-2 Tarapoto Hospital, more than half of the medical professionals present Burnout Syndrome in the middle level, a significant percentage refers to presenting in the middle level: feelings of being saturated and emotionally tired by work, having a cold and impersonal response to their patients and experiencing diminished feelings of competence and efficacy at work
