Specifically, we determined that one of the main characteristics, present in the analysis, was the interest assumed by this type of works in highlighting aspects of their contexts based on social elements, either from a political proposal or from awareness about the use of its spaces.El presente artículo tomó como objeto de estudio a las obras de arte sonoro dirigidas a los espacios públicos de Latinoamérica, con el objetivo de estudiar sus características y determinar si este tipo de expresiones creativas tienen la capacidad de preservar y promover rasgos de identidad transversales a la región latinoamericana, un territorio de gran complejidad y diversidad sociocultural.Para ello, se planteó un instrumento analítico que nos permitió entender dichas producciones desde dos ámbitos: la vinculación de la obra con el espacio, clasificado como arquitectónico, social y energético, y los planteamientos estéticos que analizamos a través de narrativas que son el resultado del planteamiento y relación de una obra con un sitio determinado.Como resultado, logramos encontrar similitudes creativas entre obras de latitudes diferentes, por lo que fue factible determinar que estas mantienen una base general sobre una identidad vinculada a la región.
