Sumario:The present work of thesis was have objectives evaluated the effect of six planting densities on yield and quality of Salvia hispanica L. cv. Black in Moche, Trujillo - La Libertad, and determine the best planting density to obtain the highest performance and best quality. The experimental design was the design completely randomized blocks (DBCA) factorial arrangement 2 x 3 x 3. Six treatments resulting from the interaction of two factors under study were tested: Two distances between rows (0.60m and 0.80m) and three numbers of plants per meter (25, 35 and 45 plants/m); with two control and three replicates per treatment. The results were analyzed using analysis of variance and Dunnett's multiple comparison test and Duncan 5%. At the time of harvest, 10 plants at random from the two central rows of each treatment were taken and plant height was evaluated, the average number of ears per plant, average spike length, the average weight of grains per plant, average weight of 1000 seeds and the average ranking of harvest. The results showed significant differences between treatments. It was determined that the seeding density of 437 500 plants.ha-1, groove spacings between 0.80 m and 35 plants per linear meter (T4) was the most effective, achieving the highest performance and best quality of Salvia hispanica L. cv. Black in Moche, Trujillo - La Libertad. The largest number of ears per plant, grain weight per plant, average yield and weight of 1000 seeds Salvia hispanica L. cv. Black, were obtained using seeding of 437 500 plants.Ha-1 (T4); and increased plant height and average spike length were achieved using the T2 (312 500 plants.Ha-1).
