Descripción
Sumario:ABTRACT The objective of this research work was to determine the adaptation and protein content of Ecuadorian hybrids of hard yellow corn in conditions of the Santa Catalina Valley in Trujillo Perú during to the low yields that are more notable each year since the majority of seeds used by the Farmers are recycled seeds and the yield potential is reflected in the harvests, which has allowed us to experiment with new materials, putting them under study to determine which of them are the most suitable to test them in the Catual Alto sector belonging to the province of Laredo. In terms of adaptation we can realize that the hybrids that achieved a higher performance that is reflected in the adaptation was: Dekalb 7088 and Inia 619 with yields of 8508.11 and 835 1.86 kg / ha. and the hybrid with the highest protein content was Somma with 15.51%.
