The present research work was carried out during the months of August 2016 to March 2017 in the Cerrillo belonging to the district and province of Santiago de Chuco, La Libertad region. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of three doses of boil on the yield of Zea mays L. Var. Purple Caraz in Santiago de Chuco-La Libertad. The design of blacks was completely random, witch four treatments and tree replicates.The treatments used werw: without boil (T1), this being the control, 400 l/h of boil (T2), 800 l/ha of boil (T3), 1200 l/ha of boil (T4). The statistical evaluation was based on the analysis of variance and and the Tukey test, at 5% significance. The results indicate that the morphological variables did not present a statistically significant difference; In which the treatment (T3) was the best of all the treatments, obtaining a yield of 5800 Kg. ha -1 of Zea mays L. var. Morado Caraz in Santiago de Chuco.
