Descripción
Sumario:Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive technique used for the evaluation of fetal hemodynamics and its discovery has become a great tool; more and more hospitals, clinics and specialized institutes use doopler ultrasound as a tool, although in a at first it was thought that its only usefulness was to catalog or classify intrauterine growth restrictions and to be able to determine the best therapeutic attitude with these patients, its uses have been diversifying. Currently, many of the obstetric pathologies that occur during pregnancy could be explained by poor implantation of the blastocyst in the endometrial cavity, which would cause poor remodeling of the spiral arteries due to poor trophoblastic invasion, resulting in poor placental perfusion and originating as postulated in the article "Great Obstetric Syndromes" the appearance of different pathologies during the first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy, the most outstanding being: Spontaneous abortions, threat of preterm birth, placental abruption and preeclampsia. Being these pathologies that put the life of the mother and the fetus at risk. Due to this, the importance of being able to predict, prevent and treat these conditions is born, and it is right here where Doppler ultrasound plays an important role, especially Doppler ultrasound of the uterine arteries, since it serves as a screening to identify the risk of suffer some diseases or predict with a high degree of certainty the development of an uncomplicated pregnancy and this above all because the measurement of the Doppler flow of this artery is translating the uteroplacental perfusion, and if an alteration is found in this measure, we could assert that We are facing a possible poor implantation and that could lead to the aforementioned pathologies during pregnancy, this time we want to find the relationship between cases of threatened preterm labor and uterine artery flow alterations.
