The present report had as objective to determine the characteristics of use of Bevacizumab in the service of hospitalization and consults external of Oncology of the National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins - EsSalud, during year 2008 and 2009. The population of study was conformed by 568 computerize search of patient on the Service of hospitalization and consults external of Oncology, which received treatment with Bevacizumab in the National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins – EsSalud during year 2008 and 2009, where it was determined: the diagnoses, criteria and contraindications for the prescription of the medicine, therapeutic scheme, besides the distribution of patients according to sex, age, therapeutic scheme and diagnoses. The greater consumption of Bevacizumab appeared in patients male with 59,1% in 2008 and women with 64,2% for the 2009, also the greater consumption during both years was between the ages of 46 to 65 years, with the scheme of maintenance N°7 and with the diagnosis of metastatic cancer of colon. The cost for year 2008 ascended to S/ 899.535,67 and S/ 3´647,187.66 for year 2009
