Sumario: | The problem that the farmers of the district of Moche- Region La Libertad suffer has been investigated with relation to their agricultural activities, its productivity and cultivations. The main problem of this agricultural area, is that the yield and the quality of their cultivations have lowered flagrantly, without to specify exactly which have been the factors that have determined this change. Is believed that the direct constituent of the problem are the Residual Muds of the plant of treatment of drinking water of Trujillo’s city “Chavimochic”. This plant treats 1 m3/seg of water coming from the River Santa and it produces some final Muds that are heady to the River Moche by means of a canal that leaves of the plant and finishes when arriving at this river. In the course of this canal the farmers of the area make deviatinos toward their cultivation lands, watering their plants with these Residual Muds. At the end of this investigation, can be observed that the plants that were watered with Residual Muds had a deficient development, as much in aspect as in size and also in the production and quality of their fruits. These fruits were analyzed by Atomic Absorption an in them have found high percentages of Heavy metals. Have been prove, that when move volume of Residual Muds was added to the plants, the presence of heavy metals in its fruits was high, and the quality of life and the production of them decreases notoriously. |
