Sumario:This descriptive and qualitative research carried out at the Nursing School of the National University of Trujillo-Peru aims at describing the pedagogical practice in the professional training of the nurse and analyzing the contribution of the project UNITrujillo. The theoretical support was based on Morin and Demo, authors who consider education from and integral perspective point of view. The devoted time was that of ten years which was planned and supervised by the project. The information was obtained from documental sources and key informants chosen through a non randomly intentional sampling. The reading of the documents and transcription of the interviews allowed the construction of a narrative line as well as of the following categories and subcategories: i) Curriculum Development: learning from problems and having priority on participating methodologies, ii) Work Group: working in groups and exchanging knowledge as well as sharing geographical areas, iii) Research. In the final consideration, the contribution to the professional practice is shown in the development of a space of practice with a Model of Integral Family Care with Social Participation, base for the implementation of the curriculum based in competences. Likewise, it reinforced the spaces of collective reflection with the Services of Health and Community. From the result a proposal Model for the Integral Training in nursing is set forth.
