For this reason the present work was carried out in the hill of Chiputur Hill located in the District of Moche, to the south of the city of Trujillo on the Port of Salaverry, province of Trujillo, department La Libertad, between the months of January to April 2017 Using "transect" and fixed points "as sampling methods, consisting of communities of xerophytic vegetation, insects, arachnids, as well as birds, reptiles, and mammals. Thirteen bird species comprised in 10 families were determined 5 orders. The species with the greatest effort of population sampling was Notiochelidon cyanoleuca (IKA = 0.61538462; IPA = 0.76190476), and the smaller ones are: Geranoaetus melanoleucus, Incaspiza pulchra, Phrygilus alaudinus, Burhinus superciliaris and Coragyps atratus (IKA = 0.03846154; IPA = 0.04761905); respectively. Also, the highest frequency of species is Notiochelidon cyanoleuca. The species diversity is slightly high in the Shannon - Wiener Index of H = 2.284 (nats / indiv.); Showing a low dominance of species in the Simpson Indexes 1-D = 0.8751; And a high Equitability Index is J = 0.8906, which concludes that this ecosystem tends to complexity and therefore to stability Keywords: Onitofauna, diversity, Loma del Cerro Chiputur

Por tal motivo se realizó el presente trabajo en la loma del Cerro Chiputur ubicado en el Distrito de Moche, al sur de la ciudad de Trujillo sobre el Puerto de Salaverry, provincia de Trujillo, departamento La Libertad, entre los meses de enero a abril 2017. Empleando el “transecto” y los puntos fijos” como métodos de muestreo, conformada por comunidades de vegetación xerofítica, de insectos, arácnidos, así como aves, reptiles, y mamíferos. Se determinaron 13 especies de aves comprendidas en 10 familias 5 órdenes. La especie con mayor esfuerzo de muestreo poblacional fue Notiochelidon cyanoleuca (I.K.A.= 0.61538462; I.P.A.= 0.76190476), y las menores son: Geranoaetus melanoleucus, Incaspiza pulchra, Phrygilus alaudinus, Burhinus superciliaris y Coragyps atratus (I.K.A.= 0.03846154; I.P.A.= 0.04761905), respectivamente. Asimismo, la mayor frecuencia de especie es Notiochelidon cyanoleuca.
