The purpose of this report was to determine the frequency of the use of ferrous sulfate and polymaltosed iron medications for the treatment of anemia in a pharmaceutical establishment in Piura, province of Piura in the department of Piura, in which the performance of the pre-professional practices, during the period between July 2015 - June 2016. The study determination is based on the data provided by the sales computer system, which allows observing and obtaining information from the different brands with a greater degree of dispensation and commercialization that exist in the Peruvian market. Data of the dispensed units of drugs with ferrous sulfate and polymatosate iron in generic (if any) and brand during the period July 2015 - June 2016 were considered, resulting in a total consumption of 959 units and a sale value of S/. 29 939.70 for medicinal products with polymaltosed iron; and of 1361 units and a sale value of S/. 41 635.22 for medicines with ferrous sulfate, this being the one with the highest annual consumption and annual expenditure in a pharmaceutical establishment in the city of Piura in the period July 2015 - June 2016
