The study population consisted of patients hospitalized in the Neurology to which were prescribed ceftriaxone in 2009. The average annual consumption of ceftriaxone expressed in DDD / 100camas / day in the service of Neurology is 34.32 . The consumption trend in this service do not show statistical significance, and therefore does not increase consumption tends not to decrease over time. The total cost in 2009 of ceftriaxone is 6258.26 nuevos soles.

Los datos se obtuvieron del Registros informáticos del Sistema de Gestión Hospitalaria del hospital. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por los pacientes hospitalizados en el servicio de Neurología a los cuales se les prescribió ceftriaxona durante el año 2009. El promedio del consumo anual de ceftriaxona para expresado en DDD/100camas/día en el servicio de Neurología es de 34.32. La tendencia de consumo en este servicio no presento significancia estadística, por lo cual el consumo no tiende aumenta no a disminuir con el paso del tiempo.
