Sumario: | The problem of social development especially after the Second World War has been the subject of special interest to all countries worldwide. As a result this has generated different approaches to overcome poverty essentially in the developing countries. In this sense, the extraordinary scientific development and the computer revolution of the last century have generated deep changes in contemporary societies which have modified the elite approaches about Development, leading to endogenous approach. In this direction the present work is registered, in which have been evaluated the impacts of the “Local Development Window” (LDW) program in rural communities of the San Martín Region, Peru, examining their practical application in the high-poverty rural districts, Sauce, Juanguerra and CPM Pamashto (Lamas). Field visits to intervened districts have been carried out in order to observe and evaluate the organizational conditions of production; marketing and business projection. Also structural surveys were conducted to detect any generated final changes. The survey was aimed to know the nature of the VDL projects about economic income/poverty, employment, education and health/disease before and with the intervention of LDW. The analysis of the results indicates that the execution of socio-productive projects LDW impacted positively on the quality of rural life by overcoming extreme poverty in the countryside. The indicators of economic-poverty income, employment, level of schooling, disease and sanitation indicators have been modified. The LDW is a good tool for fighting against rural poverty because it creates empowerment and sustainability for being participatory and consolidates the country road investment of the country in rural roads. It concludes with a proposal of an improved LDW, overcoming its weaknesses and deepen its strengths to be a benchmark of rural Development for other communities of the country with similar problems. |
