La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal en madres de niños de primaria de la institución educativa Margarita Santa Ana de Benavides en el año 2022. La población estuvo conformada por 95madres de familia, de las cuales se realizó un muestreo de tipo censal. Por lo que la muestra fue toda la población. Fue un estudio de tipo básico, de nivel descriptivo, diseño no experimental, transversal y prospectivo. Las variables fueron medidas a través de la técnica de encuesta, siendo recolectadas en un cuestionario, dichos datos fueron transferidos al software Estadístico SPSS 26.0 en español, aplicándose la estadística descriptiva. En esta investigación se determinó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal en las madres fue deficiente con un 62,1%, y en el nivel medio con un 33,7%, y por último en el nivel alto con un 4,2%, por lo cual prevaleció el nivel deficiente en la edad de 36 a 50 años con un 26,3% y en el grado de instrucción de secundaria completa e incompleta con un 24,2% y 16,8% respectivamente. Con respecto a las medidas de prevención está prevaleció en nivel medio con un 38,9%, sin embargo, en las enfermedades bucales más prevalentes prevaleció el nivel deficiente con un 67,4%. Se concluyó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal es deficiente en madres de niños de primaria de la institución educativa Margarita Santa Ana de Benavides en el año 2022. ----- The objective of the research was to determine the level of knowledge about oral health prevention in mothers of primary school children of the Margarita Santa Ana de Benavides educational institution in the year 2022. The population consisted of 95 mothers, where we worked with the totality of this, which a census-type test was applied.It was a basic type study, descriptive level, non-experimental, cross-sectional and prospective design. The variables were measured through the survey technique, being collected in a questionnaire, said data wastransferred to the SPSS 26.0 Statistical softwarein Spanish, applying descriptive statistics. It will be prolonged that the level of knowledgeabout prevention in oral health in mothers prevailed at a deficient level with 62.1%, followed by the medium level with 33.7%, and a high level with 4.2%, the deficient level prevalence in the age group from 36 to 50 years with 26.3% and in the complete and incomplete secondary education level with 24.2% and 16.8% respectively. Regarding prevention measures, this prevailed at a medium level with 38.9%, however, in the mostprevalent oral diseases, the deficient level prevailed with 67.4%. It was concluded that the level of knowledge about prevention in oral health is deficient in mothers of primaryschool children of the Margarita Santa Ana de Benavides educational institution in the year 2022.
