Nivel de conocimiento sobre la prescripción antibiótica en odontólogos del cercado de Ica - Perú, 2023

Esta investigación tuvo un diseño de tipo básico, con enfoque descriptivo y diseño no experimental, de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 306 odontólogos que ejercen en el Cercado de Ica y que cumplieron con criterios de inclusión. El muestreo fue no probabilístico. Para la recolección de datos, se empleó la técnica de encuesta, utilizando un cuestionario como instrumento. Para el procesamiento y análisis de datos, se aplicó la estadística descriptiva, y para el análisis estadístico prueba de chi cuadrado se utilizó el programa SPSS V. 22.0. Se reportó que el 53,3% de los odontólogos tiene entre 25 y 35 años; el 51,6% tiene menos de 10 años de experiencia; el 91,5% son dentista general; en el nivel de conocimiento sobre prescripción antibiótica, el 68% tiene nivel regular, 21,6% malo y 10,5% bueno; respecto al conocimiento sobre el antibiótico de primera elección, el 46,1% tiene un nivel regular, 41,8% malo y 12,1% bueno; en el conocimiento sobre el antibiótico de elección para pacientes alérgicos, el 54,6% tiene un nivel malo, 36,9% regular y 8,5% bueno; el conocimiento sobre profilaxis antibiótica revela que el 46,1% tiene nivel malo, 43,8% regular y 10,1% bueno; en cuanto al conocimiento sobre prescripción antibiótica en pacientes sistémicamente comprometidos, el 59,5% tiene nivel regular, 22,2% malo y 18,3% bueno. El nivel de conocimiento sobre prescripción antibiótica en odontólogos del cercado de Ica- Perú, 2023 es regular. ----- This research had a basic design, with a descriptive approach and crosssectional observational design. The sample was made up of 306 dentists who practiced in Cercado de Ica and who met the inclusion criteria. The sampling was non-probabilistic. For data collection, the survey technique was used, using a questionnaire as an instrument. For data processing and analysis, descriptive statistics was applied, and for statistical analysis the chi square test was used the SPSS V. 22.0 program. It was reported that 53.3% of dentists are between 25 and 35 years old; 51.6% have less than 10 years of experience; 91.5% are general dentists; In the level of knowledge about antibiotic prescription, 68% have a fair level, 21.6% have a bad level and 10.5% have a good level; Regarding knowledge about the antibiotic of first choice, 46.1% have a fair level, 41.8% have a bad level and 12.1% have a good level; In terms of knowledge about the antibiotic of choice for allergic patients, 54.6% have a bad level, 36.9% have a fair level and 8.5% have a good level; Knowledge about antibiotic prophylaxis reveals that 46.1% have a bad level, 43.8% have a regular level and 10.1% have a good level; Regarding knowledge about antibiotic prescription in systemically compromised patients, 59.5% have a fair level, 22.2% have a bad level and 18.3% have a good level. The level of knowledge about antibiotic prescription in dentists in the Ica district - Peru, 2023 is regular.
