Características de los pacientes sintomáticos respiratorios sospechosos de tuberculosis pulmonar en el Centro de Salud San Joaquín de enero a diciembre en el 2023

Determinar las características de los pacientes sintomáticos respiratorios sospechosos de tuberculosis pulmonar en la entidad de salud San Joaquín de enero a diciembre en el 2023. Este escrutinio fue descriptivo, básico, transversal y retrospectivo, abarcando a los individuos que fueron registrados en el área de TBC para descartar la enfermedad en dicho periodo. La información se recolecto del registro de sintomáticos respiratorios, de data de individuos con tuberculosis y de las fichas de manejo de pacientes con TBC. El análisis de las variables se efectuó mediante estadística descriptiva, utilizando Excel 2021 y SPSS v26, a través de tablas de frecuencia y porcentajes. De la población total, la proporción fue similar para hombres y mujeres, con una edad de 39,62 +/- 19,23 años. Una gran cantidad de pacientes resultaron negativos en las dos baciloscopias. Solo una minoría fueron diagnosticados con TBC pulmonar. Del grupo en mención gran cantidad fueron positivos en mínimo una baciloscopia, mientras que casi la totalidad de casos dio positivos al xpert. Asimismo, la mayoría eran trabajadores no profesionales o amas de casa. Por otro lado, todos ellos presentaron tos y expectoración, además en su mayoría no presentaban diabetes, comorbilidades, antecedentes de TBC, no fumaban, no consumían alcohol, ni habían tenido contacto con pacientes de TBC. Del total de pacientes fueron hombres el 49% y mujeres el 51%, con una edad de 39 +/- 19 años, donde el 96,6% fueron negativos en ambas baciloscopias. Solo el 5% el total fueron diagnosticados con TBC pulmonar. En dicho grupo 62.5% dio positivos en al menos una baciloscopia. Por otro lado, el 96,0 % dio positivo al xpert. De ellos, el 70,8% tenían un trabajo no profesional y 20,8% eran amas de casa, el 100% tenían tos y expectoración. Del mismo grupo el 16,7% tenían diabetes, el 25% bajaron de peso, el 29,2% tuvo TBC previo, 12,5% consumía alcohol, el 12,5% fumaban y el 33% habían tenido contacto con pacientes. ----- To determine the characteristics of symptomatic respiratory patients suspected of pulmonary tuberculosis in the San Joaquín health entity from January to December 2023. This scrutiny was descriptive, basic, cross-sectional and retrospective, covering individuals who were registered in the TB area to rule out the disease in that period. The information was collected from the registry of respiratory symptoms, data from individuals with tuberculosis and from the management records of patients with TB. The analysis of the variables was carried out using descriptive statistics, using Excel 2021 and SPSS v26, through frequency and percentage tables. Of the total population, the proportion was similar for men and women, with an age of 39.62 +/- 19.23 years. A large number of patients tested negative in both bacilloscopies. Only a minority were diagnosed with pulmonary TB. Of the group in question, a large number were positive in at least one bacilloscopy, while almost all cases were positive for the Xpert gene. Furthermore, most of them were non-professional workers or housewives. On the other hand, all of them presented cough and expectoration, and most of them did not have diabetes, comorbidities, history of TB, did not smoke, did not consume alcohol, and had not had contact with TB patients. Of the total number of patients, 49% were men and 51% were women, with an age of 39 +/- 19 years, where 96.6% were negative in both bacilloscopies.
