Archaeological science allows us to develop quantitative and qualitative analysis of the style of pre-Hispanic ceramics. The objective of the work was to determine the style of Tallán ceramics based on analysis of categories that are presented in the collections of the Tangarará Museum. The research approach was quantitative, basic, and non-experimental in design. At the level of the results we have that Tallán ceramics are categorized under six (06) elements; decoration, typology, color, painting, manufacturing and form. In decoration of Tallán ceramics it is determined that 53.33% have the presence of smoothing, in typology 42.22% have an ovoid shape, in color we have 35.56% presence of orange, followed by 33.33% light gray green, in paint on the surface of the Ceramics we have 68.89% do not have paint. In manufacturing we have 68.89% modeled, and in shape 62.22% are bottles. We determined a relationship finding between the categories of 0.486 between decoration and manufacturing, painting and form, manufacturing and decoration, and form and painting in the Tallán ceramic style. Finally, indicate in conclusion that to study a pre-Hispanic ceramic style, there must be defined categories to intervene in the collection of data and process them.
