An investigation was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between municipal management of environmental risks and the development of environmental awareness in the city of Requena 2024. Opting for a descriptive and correlational study with a non-experimental design. The study sample was made up of 382 inhabitants, to carry out the survey conducted with a questionnaire to collect data. The results show that municipal management of environmental risks is very deficient (58%); For its part, the development of environmental awareness is rated as low (30%). Therefore, it is determined that there is a positive and significant correlation between the variables with a coefficient of rh=0.542; and a sig. of 0.000. Likewise, the risk identification dimension has a coefficient and significance of (rh=0.416; p=0.000); Likewise, prospective environmental management shows a coefficient and significance of (rh=0.384; p= 0.000); Also, environmental corrective management shows a coefficient and significance of (rh=0.463; p= 0.000); Finally, reactive environmental management shows a coefficient and significance of (rh=0.416; p= 0.000), both dimensions are significantly and positively related to the development of environmental awareness.
