This thesis investigates the factors that influence the adoption of helmet use among students who use linear motorcycles as a means of transportation to the Faculty of Agronomy. The study reveals that 27% of students use motorcycles to attend classes, with a high concentration of motorcycles during the morning hours. Helmet use among these students is inconsistent: 46% use it occasionally and another 46% sporadically, while only 4% always use it. Knowledge about road safety is predominantly average. The perception of accident risk is the main determinant in the decision to wear a helmet, although previous experiences have a moderate influence. It is recommended to strengthen road safety education, facilitate access to quality helmets, and promote greater awareness and commitment to helmet use.
