Sumario: | This research evaluated the effect of different doses of compost from composted organic matter on Lactuca sativa L. (lettuce) in the Loreto Region. Tests were conducted with four treatments in a Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications, varying the compost dose per crop row. Multiple variables were measured, including plant height, plant width, root length, stem length, stem weight, number of leaves per plant, leaf weight per plant, and total plant weight. The analyses revealed that plant height was significantly greater in treatment T4 (25 cm). Additionally, stem weight was significantly higher in T4 (20 g). However, the most notable aspect was the significant difference in leaf weight per plant and total plant weight with the application of T4. In this treatment, values of 68 g and 90 g were observed respectively, showing a significant increase compared to the other treatments. These results indicate that the application of compost from composted organic matter, especially at higher doses as in treatment T4, can significantly increase plant height, stem weight, number of leaves per plant, and total plant weight in lettuce cultivation. |
