| Sumario: | It is a descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional study with the purpose of evaluating environmental risks in the facilities of the Port of Producers and their impact on physical health. The sample was made up of three strata: port workers, nearby residents and visiting tourists. A structured questionnaire was used with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient reliability of 0.900 for the local resident’s stratum, 0.846 for the worker’s stratum and 0.757 in the tourists and visitor’s stratum. For normality, the Shapiro Wilk test was used, which reports that the data generated by port users in three dimensions (perception of environmental risks, impact on physical health and prevention measures) do not follow a normal distribution, for which the Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between exposure to environmental risks and physical health in users, concluding that the main environmental risk factors in the Port of Producers are: air pollution by particles, water pollution due to spills of chemical substances and wastewater, noise and vibrations generated by port activities. These environmental risk factors have a considerable impact on the physical health of users, recognizing a high prevalence of respiratory problems, symptoms of stress, anxiety, sleep problems, and headaches or dizziness among workers and local residents; that negatively affects your well-being. Workers and local residents are more aware of and affected by environmental problems compared to tourists and visitors, who show a more varied and less unanimous perception. The importance of involving the community in decision-making regarding the environmental management of the port is recognized. There is a stronger significant relationship between Impact on Physical Health and Prevention Measures, and a moderate one between Perception of Environmental Risks and Prevention Measures. A moderate to low correlation occurs between the Perception of Environmental Risks and Impact on Physical Health with a positive but less intense relationship. |
