Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this thesis was to evaluate the productive performance of genetically improved tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) strains (GIFT) and not GIFT, in the San Martín Region, specifically in the facilities of the aquaculture company "GENETIKA", the field work was It took place between August 18 and September 29, 2022; We worked with two groups of males of the GIFT tilapia strain, assigned as treatments 2 and 3 (Group A = T3 and Group B = T2); while the NO GIFT strain corresponded to treatment 1 (T=1). 288 units of tilapia in the fattening stage were used, distributed in three Hapas for each treatment under a completely randomized design (DCA); The average weights gained show a significant difference between treatments 1 and 2; and 1 and 3 for a decision level of 1% error (p < 0.01). The “F” obtained with respect to the final weight were significant (p < 0.004), by the Tukey test it was confirmed that the GIFT A, B strains show a significant difference compared to the non-GIFT strain (p > 0.05). The FCA for the three tilapia strains show a ratio, T1=1:1.09, T2 = 1:1.06 for treatment 2 (T2) and T3=1:0.9; In this context, it can be noted that the GIFT strain from the male group (A) has a better FCA. The experiment recorded a similar average survival for treatments 1 and 3 tilapia strains, while treatment 2 presented a survival rate of 79%. During 6 weeks of field study, temperature remained in a range of 25 to 29 °C, oxygen in a range of 4.3 to 6.70, pH in a range of 6.9 to 8 (within the optimal ranges of water quality.
