Descripción
Sumario:Drug consumption is a problem that directly affects youth and, particularly, secondary education students in the country, which requires immediate action by the Government through effective strategies to combat it. In response to this situation, the Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program implemented by the authorities of the Education sector arises. The objective of this master's thesis is to determine the relationship between public spending in the Education sector in the Drug Use Prevention and Treatment Program and the dropout of secondary education students in Loreto, in the period 2019 - 2023; This Quantitative – Correlational research was developed, designed as Non-Experimental. It is concluded that the public spending of the Education Sector in the Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program and the school dropout of secondary school students are not statistically related, since the Correlation Coefficient is r = -0.458347829 and the Determination Coefficient is R2 = 0.210082733. The Program's expenditure is mainly dedicated to financing the Administrative Services Contract – CAS item (57.14%), used to hire professional and administrative personnel. The highest school dropout of the five-year period studied occurred in 2023 (11,478.00 students). Public spending per basic education student is in Special Basic Education (36.66%).
