| Sumario: | The objective of the present investigation was to determine the variables associated with Helicobacter Pylori Infection, in users of the Endoscopy Center, of the Regional Hospital of Loreto. The method was the quantitative non-experimental descriptive correlational method. The sample consisted of 63 users of the Endoscopy Center of the Regional Hospital of Loreto. The technique was survey and documentary review, the instruments were, Questionnaire of sociodemographic and clinical variables and Biopsy result record sheet. For the correlational analysis, the Chi Square statistical test was used with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results were that 31.7% were between 50 and 65 years old. 71.4% were male, 47.7% came from urban areas, 44.4% were housewives, 36.5% reached the grade of primary education, 47.6% had no habits harmful, 42.9% presented gastric pain as a symptom of the condition, 38.2% presented a current disease other than gastritis, gastric cancer or peptic ulcer; 74.6% did not present a colonization in relation to the infection, a significant association was determined with the variables, age p = 0.011, sex p = 0.014, Occupation p = 0.042, Harmful habits p = 0.034, symptoms of affection p = 0.045, and current illness of the users, p = 0.031, no statistical association was found with origin, p = 0.794, and level of education, p = 0.311. In conclusion, there are variables such as age, sex, occupation, harmful habits, symptoms of illness, and current illness that are associated with helicobacter pylori infection. |
