Worldwide, the population is going through a stage of population aging, which implies important social and individual consequences. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the social factors associated with functional dependence in patients treated at the "San Francisco de Asís" Center for the Elderly, Iquitos 2022. A sample of 57 patients was taken. Concluding that there is a statistically significant association between social factors and functional dependence in basic activities of daily living (p=0.017), determining that people who present unfavorable social factors have 5.3 times more probability of presenting functional dependence in basic activities of daily living. In addition, it was concluded that there is a statistically significant association between social factors and functional dependence in instrumental activities of daily living (p<0.001), determining that people with unfavorable social factors are 14.3 times more likely to have Functional dependence in instrumental activities of daily living.
