Sumario:GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between Mortality and the clinical-epidemiological characteristics of children and adolescents living with HIV in Loreto 2016-2021 MATERIALS AND METHODS: A quantitative study will be carried out, according to the intervention of the observational researcher according to the scope to demonstrate a causal relationship: analytical, according to the number of measurements of the cross-sectional study variable and according to the planning of the data collection: retrospective. The study population will consist of all children and adolescents living with the Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus in Loreto and enrolled in the HIV-AIDS / STI / Hepatitis prevention and control service. The sample will be the same to the entire population which amounts to 80 children and adolescents (0-17 years) living with the Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus in Loreto and enrolled in the HIV-AIDS / STI / Hepatitis prevention and control service. CONCLUSIONS: At the national level, studies on HIV in children and adolescents are scarce, therefore, considering that Loreto is a region with high HIV prevalence, we consider it relevant to study the mortality and epidemiological clinical characteristics of this vulnerable population.
