Descripción
Sumario:The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of the socio-affective educational program on administrators and teachers, designed to enhance the prevention of school suicide at Educational Institution No. 60024 in San Juan de Miraflores in 2024. It was an evaluative study with a longitudinal, univariate, field, and quasi-experimental design, which included an experimental group and a control group, both consisting of 22 participants, from a total of 44 administrators and teachers who comprised the population and sample. Data collection was achieved through surveys and a performance test, utilizing instruments validated by experts in the field. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in the experimental group during the Posttest phase, achieving a mean of 15.64 compared to 10.73 in the Pretest, with a p-value of .000 that allowed for the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). In contrast, the control group exhibited no significant changes, presenting a p-value of .425. These findings underscore the effectiveness of the program in promoting socio-emotional competencies, highlighting its importance in the prevention of school suicide and suggesting the necessity of incorporating mental health as an essential component of educational policies.
