Sumario:This thesis work is from professional experience, its objective is to evaluate the operations and processes that are carried out in the Talara Refinery, as well as the main operating variables that must be controlled and operating conditions that must be maintained for an optimal operation. The present work has been carried out in the Talara Refinery, and its main function is to transform crude oil into fuels such as LPG, Gasoline 84, 90 and 95 octane, Solvents No. 1 and 3, Turbo A1, Diesel B5 and industrial oils that They are then loaded onto ships for transportation, distribution and marketing at PETROPERU's terminals and sales plants nationwide. To achieve this transformation, the crude oil is subjected to physical and chemical processes in the Talara Refinery plants, the Primary Distillation Units (UDP), the Vacuum Distillation Unit (UDV) and the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCC), the currents The output from these units is physically and chemically treated and stored in tanks; some are stored as finished products: LPG and Turbo A1, others are stored as intermediate products (light naphtha and cracked naphtha, which are later used for the formulation of 84 and 90 octane Gasoline); 95 gasoline is formulated with cracked gasoline and Hogbs (high-octane gasoline obtained from blending) which is imported by PETROPERU; Diesel B5 is formulated using 95% by volume of Diesel 2 with 5% by volume of Biodiesel; Industrial oils are formulated with UDV, LCO and clarified oil funds obtained from FCC. We describe all the operations in the techniques for refining oil, putting in place separation and transformation techniques that promise to produce, from crude oil, a series of commercial products from gases to asphalts.
