Budget execution is the use of financial resources of the State to be able to finance all public spending activities that have been programmed for a certain period, in order to be to improve the living conditions of the population through the following: health, education, security, works (roads, schools, hospitals, streets, parks, squares, etc). Proper execution of the budget will measure the management capacity of a public entity with respect to its spending capacity. The present investigation entitled "Analysis of the execution of public resources of the Provincial Municipality of Maynas by budget category, period 2016 – 2020”, aims to determine the level of execution presented by public resources by said category during the estudy period. Likewise, the research has been of a quantitative type and non-experimental descriptive design – cross-sectional. From the analysis and discussion of the results obtained, it has been possible to determine that public resources executed by the aforementioned municipality present a high level of execution with respect to the study period.
