Descripción
Sumario:From March to May 2017, soil beetles were collected in the White sand forest and clay soil Forrest in the localities of Río Blanco and Jenaro Herrera, south of Loreto. The objective of this thesis was to evaluate the diversity and similarity of soil beetle communities using the passive capture method with pitfall traps without bait within linear transects. 1071 individuals distributed in 14 families were collected, being the most diverse Staphylinidae, and one of the three most abundant families of the study together with Erotylidae and Scolytidae. This pattern is repeated in both locations and forest types. Nitidulidae family was only present in the White-sand forests of the Río Blanco locality. It was found that both communities of Coleoptera are rich in species, but there is no significant difference between them. Therefore, these communities are considered similar in terms of richnes, but different and independent in terms of community structure, probably due to distance and geographical barriers between localities and forests.
