Descripción
Sumario:Unemployment is a problem that directly affects the income levels of families, making it difficult to access basic services, which limits the reduction of poverty. Likewise, unemployment can face major structural barriers or discriminatory factors. In this sense, our research analyzes the discriminatory factors that influence unemployment of the EAP in the city of Iquitos in the year 2023. The study is developed through the quantitative approach, correlational level and non-experimental cross-sectional design, with the estimation of the probit model, including as a study population 258,238 people belonging to the EAP of Iquitos in 2023. The results reveal that unemployment in Iquitos is 30.86% and the value of the pseudo-R2 = 0.0146, and Prob> chi2= 0.000, or suggests that the discriminatory factors included have a significant joint impact on the probability of being unemployed in Iquitos during the year 2023. Likewise, it is established that sex, disability and area of residence are the discriminatory factors that influence unemployment of the EAP. In addition, the variables ethnicity and age are not significant in influencing unemployment.
