Descripción
Sumario:The thesis was developed in the native community of Huatapi in the district of Capelo. The study is quantitative of the observational, descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional type. The housing situation of rural families was evaluated. The study sample consisted of 175 interviews. The results show that the houses are located in areas of high risk to annual flooding of the Ucayali River, which causes losses of crops and livestock and family assets, affecting economic income and putting the health of families at risk. The houses have walls made of sawn wood from the area, easy to work with and short-lived. The neglect of the walls stands out, incomplete and in apparent abandonment. The roofs are made of calamine sheets (zinc), despite the cost that their use implies, they prefer it for its duration. The houses do not have separate environments that differentiate the living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms and other spaces in the house. Families share and live together in a single environment in the family home, lacking privacy. Traditional Tushpas type cuisine prevails; with a greater consumption of firewood and problems in the respiratory tract and eye diseases due to the excessive smoke that is generated inside the houses. The families consume raw from the river, they are not in the habit of boiling the water. Most of the population do not wash their hands with soap and water after going to the bathroom. In the elimination of the excreta, the field is used in the open air, increasing the health risks. They do not cover the food they are going to eat; they leave it exposed so that any type of animal or microorganism can contaminate the food, putting the family at risk. It does not carry out any practice of recycling household waste, only a small minority make compost to fertilize the plants. Finally, it is concluded that the inhabitants of the Huatapi native community do not meet the conditions of a healthy home, for which the null hypothesis is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected.
