This investigation examines deficiencies in fire safety in the Faculty of Agronomy building, revealing inadequate emergency preparedness. Through the analysis of risk perception and the level of knowledge among workers, critical problems are identified such as the lack of evacuation drills, inadequate management of flammable materials and lack of maintenance in electrical installations. The variability in knowledge about preventive measures highlights the need for continuing training programs. Using the MESERI method to assess fire risk classifies building safety as 'poor', underscoring the urgency to implement corrective measures, improve staff training and comprehensively review risk management to ensure a safer environment.
