This research examined the relationship between the application of an accounting system and the profitability of small companies in the district of Iquitos during the 2021 period. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between the level of application of the accounting system and the profitability of the companies. . In addition, a positive relationship was found between the degree of adoption of the accounting system and the increase in the profit margin, as well as between the level of financial management and the improvement in the growth of companies. These findings support the importance of implementing an efficient accounting system, improving financial management, and making informed decisions to maximize small business profitability. Recommendations include the proper implementation of an accounting system, financial training of staff, establishing sound credit policies, using technological tools, and regularly monitoring financial performance. These actions can contribute to the success and sustainable growth of small businesses in Iquitos during the 2021 period.
