Sumario:With the intention that these results reach the authorities and that they take measures to improve the health of pregnant women and newborns in the Loreto Region, this research was carried out to establish the nutritional status of the pregnant woman and its relationship with the nutritional status of the newborn nutritional status of the pregnant woman and its relationship with the nutritional status of the newborn attended at the IPRESS I-4 San Juan de Miraflores. The sample consisted of 235 pregnant women and 235 newborns. Using the direct interview technique and the use of medical records, the nutritional status was determined using the technical guide for the anthropometric nutritional assessment of pregnant women - MINSA, in addition, the fetal nutritional status was determined using the CANS SCORE for pregnant women fetal nutritional status was determined using the CANS SCORE for newborns and the table of the Technical Health Standard for the Control of Growth and Development of children under five years of age. The results show that the nutritional status of the pregnant woman according to pregestational BMI, 50.20% is normal, and 34.90% overweight, with respect to the hemoglobin level, 85.10% of pregnant women reported a hemoglobin level without anemia, 13.60% mild anemia, 0.90% moderate anemia, and 0.40% severe anemia.
