Research has been conducted on the cultivation of broadleaf oregano (Origanum vulgare L.), related to planting distances in order to determine its influences on characteristics and yield. The experimentation was bet in the area of practices of olive crops. The distances were: 0.50 m x 0.60 m; 0.75 m x 0.60 m; 1 m x 0.60 m and 1.25 m x 0.60 m, conducted under DBCA Statistical Design and Tukey's Test, presenting the following conclusions: The sowing distance of 1.25 m x 0.60 m (T4), presented a statistical difference, surpassing the rest of the Treatments; It also obtained the best results in height, width, number of branches, number and weight of leaves / plant; however, the distance of 0.50 m x 0.60 m (T1) obtained the best leaf weight/ha with 11,220 and better economic performance, with S/.42,911.00, due to the larger population of plants.
