Departamento Académico de Producción AnimalEl estudio se realizó en el fundo Pucayacu del IRD Selva, cuyo objetivo fue la propuesta y evaluación de un plan de manejo basado en un sistema de pastoreo racional sobre las condiciones actuales del fundo, para lo cual se realizó el levantamiento de información preliminar a través del inventario de recursos, el cual consiste en clasificar y caracterizar pastos, suelos, ganado, instalaciones y mejoras. Actividades que fueron realizadas a través de visita en campo, entrevista con personal del fundo, observación directa y evaluaciones en potreros; asimismo, se realizó el diagnóstico bioeconómico que permitió conocer el sistema de producción actual, resultado que se obtuvo mediante la aplicación de una encuesta de caracterización realizada al administrador del fundo. También, se realizó la evaluación económica a través del método del presupuesto total y el presupuesto parcial donde se mostró las inversiones e ingresos netos percibidos del fundo en la situación actual y mejorada. El diagnóstico mostró que el fundo presentaba serias deficiencias en el manejo de pasturas, manejo del ganado y la gestión administrativa. El balance forrajero resulto en un valor negativo de 45.62 U. A. / año, el cual indicó un déficit alimentario en el fundo por la alta demanda de pasturas y la poca oferta de la misma, lo que se reflejaba en el aumento de plantas invasoras y disminución de la cobertura de pastura a causa del sobrepastoreo en los potreros. Con el plan implementado, se logró aumentar el balance forrajero resultando en un valor positivo de 27.33 U. A / ha y con esto aumentar el ingreso neto del fundo, logrando una rentabilidad media a 10.5 % y obtener un valor de la tasa interna de retorno anual de 8.0 % con la implementación del plan de manejo.The study was carried out in the Pucayacu farm of the IRD Selva, whose objective was the proposal and evaluation of a management plan based on a rational grazing system on the current conditions of the farm, for which preliminary information was collected through of the resource inventory, which consists of classifying and characterizing pastures, soils, livestock, facilities and improvements. Activities that were carried out through a field visit, interview with farm personnel, direct observation and evaluations in pastures; Likewise, a bioeconomic diagnosis was carried out that allowed to know the current production system, a result that was obtained through the application of a characterization survey carried out to the administrator of the farm. Also, the economic evaluation was carried out through the method of the total budget and the partial budget, which showed the investments and net income received from the farm in the current and improved situation. The diagnosis showed that the farm had serious deficiencies in pasture management, livestock management and administrative management. The forage balance resulted in a negative value of 45.62 AU / year, which indicated a food deficit on the farm due to the high demand for pasture and the low supply of it, which was reflected in the increase in invasive plants and decrease in pasture coverage due to overgrazing in paddocks. With the implemented plan, it was possible to increase the forage balance resulting in a positive value of 27.33 U.
