Departamento Académico de Industrias ForestalesSe realizó la evaluación de tres cargas de madera de 50 m3 cada una, tomándose una muestra de 225 piezas, para el diagnóstico del proceso de secado convencional de tablillas de madera de 1” de espesor de la especie Dipteryx odorata “Shihuahuaco” de la empresa “Maderera Augen S.A.C.”. El estudio se dividió en tres fases: antes, durante y luego del proceso de secado, con el fin de hacer un seguimiento y detectar las posibles deficiencias. Determinándose con respecto a la operatividad del horno la correcta lectura del controlador de las variables climáticas durante el proceso de secado. La influencia negativa de la baja velocidad del aire empleada < 1.6 m/s en la tasa y el tiempo de secado, así como de la uniformidad del contenido de humedad final de la madera. El adecuado aislamiento de las paredes de la cámara con un flujo de calor menor al 4% del calor requerido para la evaporación del agua de la madera en condiciones de mayor temperatura del proceso de secado. El Contenido de Humedad inicial heterogéneo con coeficientes de variación mayores al 30%, con una muy alta dispersión de los valores con respecto a la media no representando a una población homogénea. Lo que juntamente con la falta de implementación de las etapas de Igualación y Acondicionamiento final en el proceso, así como el empleo de un programa de secado suave, indujeron a la alta dispersión de los valores de Contenido de humedad final y Gradientes de humedad de las tablillas. Por lo que, según las recomendaciones de European Drying Group (EDG), el secado de la madera de Shihuahuaco fue inadecuado por la no uniformidad del contenido de humedad final y presencia de gradiente de humedad, no cumpliendo con los valores de contenido de humedad final exigidos por el mercado chino.The evaluation of three loads of wood of 50 m3 each was carried out, taking a sample of 225 pieces, for the diagnosis of the conventional drying process of 1" thick wooden slats of the species Dipteryx odorata "Shihuahuaco" of the company "Maderera Augen S.A.C.". The study was divided into three phases: before, during and after the drying process, in order to monitor and detect possible deficiencies.
