Departamento Académico de Manejo Pesquero y Medio AmbienteEl presente trabajo de investigación se llevó cabo en la Refinería La Pampilla, ubicada en el distrito de Ventanilla, Provincia Constitucional del Callao en las coordenadas geográficas (UTM) Norte 8'681.706.26 y Este 268,265.85 en base al BM de la Refinería. La Refinería La Pampilla desde el inicio de sus actividades (1965) ha generado residuos de hidrocarburos a raíz de la elaboración de subproductos de petróleo y la inadecuada disposición de estos ha generado problemas de contaminación en la zona de playa; debido a esta situación se inició el proyecto de utilización de compostaje para remediar el suelo contaminado con hidrocarburos; esto está basado en el uso de microorganismos capaces de biodegradar los contaminantes hasta compuestos más simples e inocuos para el ambiente. La metodología usada consistió en la elaboración de biopilas de 1150 metros cúbicos aproximadamente, conformada por tres partes de suelo contaminado y una parte de gallinaza, se hicieron tomas periódicas de muestras para analizar el comportamiento del hidrocarburo en las biopilas. La presente investigación consistió en el análisis de tres biopilas en pleno proceso de biorremediación, siendo la tendencia general la disminución en el contenido de hidrocarburos; sin embargo, el proceso de biodegradación se estabilizó sin haberse biorremediado por completo, debido a un inadecuado manejo en las biopilas. Para determinar si el suelo en pleno proceso de biorremediación podía ser utilizado, se hicieron dos bioensayos en el Vivero Forestal de la UNALM, en los que se plantaron semillas y plántulas de especies forestales, las cuales tuvieron una mala respuesta para el suelo contaminado.The present research work was carried out in the La Pampilla Refinery, located in the Ventanilla district, Callao Constitutional Province at the geographic coordinates (UTM) North 8'681.706.26 and East 268,265.85 based on the BM of the Refinery.
