Departamento Académico de Producción AnimalEl objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar las características productivas y tecnológicas de la lana, con fines comerciales; en ovinos Corriedale y Merino Precoz Alemán; asimismo, evaluar el grado de limpieza de la lana a través del contenido de material vegetal en la región Junín. El estudio fue realizado en la SAIS Pachacutec ubicado en el Distrito Marcapomacocha, Provincia Yauli, Región de Junín. Se utilizaron en total 140 muestras de vellón de ovinos de raza Corriedale (10 carneros, 10 borregas, 15 carnerillos, 15 borreguillas, 10 capones y 10 caponcillos) y Merino Precoz Alemán (10 carneros, 10 borregas, 10 carnerillos, 15 borreguillas, 10 capones y 15 caponcillos), esquilados en los meses de febrero y diciembre del 2020. Estas muestras fueron analizadas en el Laboratorio de Fibras Textiles, Pieles y Cueros del Programa de Investigación y Proyección Social en Ovinos y Camélidos Americanos (POCA), Facultad de Zootecnia de la UNALM. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo para las características productivas y tecnológicas de la lana y utilizando la prueba de Tukey para evaluar diferencias estadísticas significativas entre las categorías y razas. Los resultados mostraron valores promedios de: Peso de Vellón Sucio (PVS) de 2.59±0.056kg y 2.25±0.056kg; Longitud de Mecha (LM) de 7.41±0.0181cm y 6.35±0.181cm; Diámetro de Fibra (DF) de 24.0±0.273μm y 21.3±0.273μm; Coeficiente de Variación del Diámetro de Fibra (CVDF) de 22.4±0.364% y 21.7±0.364%; Factor de Confort (FC) de 85.8±0.929% y 94.8±0.929%; Humedad (HD) de 15.5±0.228% y 15.2±0.228%; Contenido de Material Vegetal (CMV) de 0.0795±0.00815% y 0.1123±0.00815%; Contenido de Grasa Residual (GR) de 1.21±0.0266% y 1.40±0.0266%; Contenido de Ceniza (CZ) de 1.21±0.036% y 1.30±0.036%; Rendimiento de Lavado (RL) de 63.4±0.508% y 61.4±0.508% y Rendimiento Comercial (RC) de 75.3±0.603% y 73.0±0.603% para las razas Corriedale y Merino Precoz Alemán; respectivamente. Se concluye que las lanas de los ovinos Corriedale y Merino Precoz Alemán tienen buenos rendimientos comerciales; asimismo, las lanas de ambas razas son muy limpias que facilitan su procesamiento en los sistemas de industrialización de cardado, semi peinado y peinado.The objective of this study was to evaluate the productive and technological characteristics of wool, for commercial purposes, in Corriedale and German Merino Precocious sheep, as well as to evaluate the degree of cleanliness of the wool through the content of vegetable matter in the Junín region. The study was carried out at the SAIS “Pachacutec” located in the Marcapomacocha District, Yauli Province, Junin Region. One hundred and forty samples of Corriedale sheep were used (10 rams, 10 ewes, 15 rams hoggets, 15 ewes hoggets, 10 wethers and 10 wethers hoggets) and German Merino Precocious sheep were used (10 rams, 10 ewes, 10 rams hoggets, 15 ewes hoggets, 10 wethers and 15 wethers hoggets) the shearing took place in the months of february and december 2020. The analysis of samples was carried out at the laboratory of textile fiber, leathers and furs in the “Programa de Investigación y Proyección Social en Ovinos y Camélidos Americanos” (POCA). A descriptive analysis was carried out for the productive and technological characteristics of wool and using Tukey’s test to evaluate significant statistically differences between categories and breed. The results showed average values of: PVS 2.59±0.056kg and 2.25±0.056kg; LM 7.41±0.0181cm and 6.35±0.181cm; DF 24.0±0.273μm and 21.3±0.273μm; CVDF 22.4±0.364% and 21.7±0.364%; FC 85.8±0.929% and 94.8±0.929%; HD 15.5±0.228% and 15.2±0.228%; CMV 0.0795±0.00815% and 0.1123±0.00815%; GR 1.21±0.0266% and 1.40±0.0266%; CZ 1.21±0.036% and 1.30±0.036%; RL 63.4±0.508% and 61.4±0.508% y RC 75.3±0.603% y 73.0±0.603% for the Corriedale and German Merino Precocious; respectively.
