No obstante, el crecimiento poblacional y la dinámica urbana provocan la desactualización de las cartografías, esto representa una limitación para los procesos de planificación y análisis territorial. Por ello, es necesario complementar con fuentes de instituciones que generen datos espaciales con distintos niveles de detalle y vigencia. Aun así, integrar esta información no es un proceso inmediato, ya que provienen de fuentes heterogéneas y sin variables en común, es ahí donde los datos espaciales ofrecen una solución para la unión de dichas fuentes. El presente trabajo de suficiencia profesional describe la labor realizada como analista cartográfico en el Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática (INEI), en el cual tuve como objetivo la integración de datos espaciales externos con las bases de datos de la institución, mediante un enlace a nivel de manzanas censales y área rural para Lima Metropolitana, con el fin de complementar la información disponible. Se desarrolló un proceso de extracción, carga y transformación de datos espaciales referentes a suministros de agua y huellas de edificios representados por puntos y polígonos, respectivamente. En conclusión, el proceso descrito permitió integrar los datos de suministros de agua actualizados al 2022, huellas de edificios del 2023 con las manzanas censales del INEI y áreas rurales, para la generación de insumos que permitan aproximar el número de viviendas por manzana y puedan ser usados en la segmentación urbana del Pre Censo 2023, además, de la identificación de construcciones en zonas rurales para monitorear la cobertura de viviendas censadas.The census is the counting of inhabitants, dwellings and indigenous communities in the country, to generate statistical information that guides the planning and execution of public policies based on the national reality. However, population growth and urban dynamics cause the cartographies to be outdated, which represents a limitation for the planning and territorial analysis processes. Therefore, it is necessary to complement with sources from institutions that generate spatial data with different levels of detail and validity. Even so, integrating this information is not an immediate process, since they come from heterogeneous sources and without variables in common, that is where spatial data offer a solution for the union of these sources. This work of professional competence describes the work done as a cartographic analyst at the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), in which my objective was the integration of external spatial data with the institution's databases, through a link at the level of census blocks and rural area for Metropolitan Lima, in order to complement the available information. A process of extraction, loading and transformation of spatial data referring to water supplies and building footprints represented by points and polygons, respectively, was developed.
