Este liderazgo se debe a los altos rendimientos y su excelente calidad del fruto lo que permite su comercialización en diversos mercados internacionales; con el paso del tiempo la industria ha desarrollado nuevas variedades que optimizan la producción y diversifican la oferta. Además, el éxito del cultivo se ha visto fortalecido por un manejo agronómico diferenciado, que abarca la cosecha, labores culturales, la sanidad vegetal, el riego y la fertilización. Ante la creciente demanda del mercado, la escasez de recursos y los efectos del cambio climático, las empresas agroexportadoras han implementado nuevas estrategias para optimizar el uso del agua y los fertilizantes. Uno de los cambios más significativos ha sido la adopción de sistemas de producción en macetas y bolsas con sustratos en reemplazo del suelo, con el fin de reducir los recursos. En este estudio, se evaluó el uso de bolsas como estrategia para optimizar el riego, estableciendo indicadores y parámetros que permitan definir la dotación de agua diaria necesaria para la fibra de coco. Se analizaron variables climáticas como el Déficit de Presión de Vapor (DPV), la Evapotranspiración de Referencia (ETo) y la temperatura, las cuelas interactúan para determinar el tiempo, frecuencia y volumen de riego. Adicionalmente, se monitorearon parámetros complementarios, como el porcentaje de humedad, sensores de humedad, drenaje, Conductividad Eléctrica (CE) de la solución. Los resultados demostraron que el uso de estos indicadores permitió reducir el consumo de agua en casi un 10% en comparación con un sistema de riego sin monitoreo de estos parámetros. Este ahorro evidencia la importancia de la implementación de herramientas de gestión hídrica en cultivos de alto valor comercial.By 2024, Peru has consolidated its position as the leading blueberry exporter, reaching a total volume of 155,186 tons and a value of US$1.26 billion. In addition, the success of the crop has been strengthened by differentiated agronomic management, which includes harvesting, cultural work, plant health, irrigation and fertilization. Faced with growing market demand, scarce resources and the effects of climate change, agroexport companies have implemented new strategies to optimize the use of water and fertilizers. One of the most significant changes has been the adoption of production systems in pots and bags with substrates to replace soil, in order to reduce resources. In this study, the use of bags was evaluated as a strategy to optimize irrigation, establishing indicators and parameters to define the daily water allocation necessary for coconut fiber. Climatic variables such as Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD), Reference Evapotranspiration (ETo) and temperature were analyzed, which interact to determine the time, frequency and volume of irrigation. In addition, complementary parameters were monitored, such as the percentage of humidity, humidity sensors, drainage, Electrical Conductivity (EC) of the solution. The results showed that the use of these indicators reduced water consumption by almost 10% compared to an irrigation system without monitoring these parameters.
